URL scheme

Hi,
is there any way to call your app with an iOS URL scheme, and optionaly passing it the URL to be opened (to avoid the homepage) ?

Thanks,
M.F

Re: URL scheme

Hi Floyd!

There isn't right now, but this should be a fairly easy thing for us to add. I'll make sure this is added to the next update (due some time early January).

Re: URL scheme

Update: never mind. You can use JavaScript to ignore the http part of the URL while adding airweb using the function .subscript(position[, length]). If you bookmark "javascript:window.location='airweb'+location.href.substring(4)", save it on the bookmarks bar as "AirWeb", it will open any website from Safari into AirWeb.

I would like to suggest to add a URL scheme as "airwebhttp" instead of just "airweb". The reason is that with that URL scheme, users can create very handy bookmarks to open any website to Airweb by pressing a bookmark button.

For example, the well-known GoodReader app has the "ghttp" URL scheme. I created a bookmark on the bookmark bar with the URL:
javascript:window.location='g'+location.href (to do this, create a random bookmark and add it to the bookmark bar, then go to edit and change the URL manually). So any website can be opened in GoodReader by pressing this button. It works because the location.href contains "http://location", so the JavaScript instruction constructs the URL: "ghttp://location".

With the current airweb URL scheme, this does not work, because JavaScript creates the URL "airwebhttp://location.com". Just a suggestion to add a useful feature to an already great app!
